Machilipatnam: A woman staged a protest outside her husband’s house, alleging that he had left her after their marriage. The incident took place in Machilipatnam.

According to reports, Penku Phani Kumar and Jaya Lakshmi got married at the Durga Temple in Vijayawada on August 30. Jaya Lakshmi alleged that they had been in a relationship for some time before getting married.

Jaya Lakshmi alleged that after the marriage, both of them stayed in a rented house near Shaktigudi. However, after a few days, Phani Kumar allegedly left the house and did not return.

Jaya Lakshmi then went to Phani Kumar’s house and staged a protest, demanding justice and asking him to accept her as his wife. The incident created tension in the area.

Inagudurupet police reached the spot, spoke to the woman and registered a case. Police later convinced her to leave the place and sent her home. Further details are awaited.
