Mladost, Jug, Solaris, and Primorje entered the 2026/27 Croatian League with victories.
The reigning champion, Mladost, demolished its Zagreb-based rival, Medvescak, 24:6. Luke Pavillard scored three goals in his first game for Mladost, and Viktor Tonicic contributed four to the win.
Jug beat POSK by ten goals, 18:8. The top scorer was newcomer Hungarian David Tatrai, with five goals.
The most exciting game took place in Sibenik. Home team Solaris edged Zafar 14:13 in the round’s derby.
The only visiting team to achieve a win in the opening weekend was Primorje, beating KPK in Korcula 13:11.
The Split derby, Mornar – Jadran, has been rescheduled due to Jadran’s participation in the Champions League Qualifications.
