Some of Kainoor’s friends and colleagues have raised questions about a possible rash and negligent driving by her cab driver. Her death has caused several photos of her wearing the IndiGo cabin crew uniform to circulate on the internet. She is being remembered as a loving mother, daughter, and colleague.
A post sharing Kainoor’s funeral details has surfaced, which states that the funeral was held on September 20, 2026, at 2 p.m. The post can be read as:
“An IndiGo cabin crew member, Kainoor Mistry, passed away yesterday following a road crash while returning from work in an office cab. Friends and colleagues say there may have been negligent and rash driving by the driver. In April 2025, too, a cabin crew member of IndiGo died in Bengaluru under similar circumstances.”
Another post stated that while the entire aviation fraternity is at Kainoor’s funeral, the IndiGo team continues to remain silent about the cabin crew’s death. Slamming IndiGo, it noted how shocking it is to see that the team could not even take out some time to write a simple, “Rest in peace.” The post stated:
“Her entire fraternity is at her funeral. IndiGo social media team se ek Rest in Peace nahi likha gaya ab tak! Maut Kainoor ki hui hai. Janaaza empathy ka nikla hai.”

Now, after Kainoor’s passing, a photo of her cab has surfaced, in which she was returning home. The picture showed how the front portion of the vehicle was completely damaged in the crash. It also highlighted just how severe the accident was that took the young cabin crew member’s life.
As per her X (formerly Twitter) bio, Kainoor Mistry called herself an ambitious, oversensitive, and creative person. Apart from her work as cabin crew, she was also an actor, singer, and dancer. Before her passing, she took part in the Himalayan High S2 ride, wherein eleven women took to the road on their TVS Scooty Zest 110 and navigated through the world’s highest motorable road in 2016. Their name was registered in the India Book of Records as they became the first group of women riders to conquer Khadung La on a 110cc scooter.
