Michelle Keegan once found herself in an awkward spot thanks to a prank that went very wrong – or very right, if you’re Olly Murs. Speaking on their Heart Radio show, Olly and Michelle’s husband, Mark Wright, discussed the time the singer emblazoned a naked picture of himself on what he believed was Mark’s car.
As the former X Factor star reminded Mark of the moment, he replied: “Face? Are you forgetting the rest? Your naked body — and I had to drive through London with it because I couldn’t get it off!”
Olly then admitted that he didn’t realise at the time he’d actually plastered the cut-out onto Michelle’s Range Rover, rather than Mark’s.
Mark explained: “I drove Michelle’s car to work one night when I used to do the evening show here at Heart and Olly decided, when I was in the studio, to do a prank on me, he got this massive print out, like bigger than himself, bigger than life size of himself laying down butt naked and he put it on the side of my car, like printed it on, there was no way of getting it off.
“And when Michelle woke up to drive to work the next morning she walked out and saw a massive Olly Murs on the car and she drove it all the way through London.”
Mark, still laughing, told listeners he may reshare footage of the prank. Olly previously documented the prank on Heart Radio’s social media pages. To avoid being caught by Mark, he disguised himself as a cleaner.
He went on to joke about the TOWIE star always showing off his body, explaining that he had been working out himself and wanted to show off his new abs on a life-sized cut-out of himself.
After placing the pictures on Michelle’s car, he hid nearby to film Mark’s reaction.
The pair spoke about the moment ahead of the 39-year-old taking on her first detective role in the ITV drama The Blame.
Speaking on Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston’s Heart Breakfast Show, she revealed: “I play DI Emma Crane and there is a murder. There’s a ‘who done it?’. It’s like a thriller. But it’s also about misogyny in the work place, lad banter culture and corruption.
“I’ve never played one before so I was very excited about it. My dad was a policeman and I did speak to him about it. It’s weird because my dad is quite private about his job. He always has been.”
The Blame airs tonight at 9pm on ITV and ITVX
