Srikakulam: A lorry travelling from Srikakulam to Narasannapeta collided with a stationary lorry on the highway, resulting in a major fire. The incident occurred near the Madapam Bridge in Narasannapeta mandal around midnight.
Flames erupted shortly after the collision. Alerted by the fire, the lorry driver and cleaner immediately jumped out of the vehicle and escaped unharmed.
Both lorries were completely gutted in the fire. No casualties were reported in the incident.
Three fire engines were pressed into service to bring the blaze under control.
