Joel said: “I’m a big believer that the best stories usually come from the unexpected. Magic in the Mess is all about embracing these moments – the bad decisions, I’ve made lots, accidental adventures, I’ve had loads, and completely mad unplanned moments that somehow become your favourite memories.
“Sitting down with Oti, Chloe and my wife, Hannah was very different from my usual interviews. More like conversations around the dinner table, there’s no pressure to get things right – just good food, honest conversations and unexpected stories embracing the messiness.
“We had a laugh, and a few tears, but unfortunately the big bosses wouldn’t allow me to change the name to ‘Tears, Titters and Tacos.”
Magic in the Mess launches on September 21, with three episodes rolling out weekly through to early October across Spotify and YouTube, alongside bite-sized versions on Old El Paso’s Instagram channel.
