Education minister Lokesh fumed at the YSRC leaders who allegedly attacked teachers recruited under DSC sports quota in Vijayawada.
Taking to X, Lokesh warned none of the accused in the attack would be spared. He warned of serious action against all those involved in the attack. “It is foolish to think that the party leaders whose chief had deployed teachers as guards at wine shops, would treat them with respect.
Taking a snipe at YSRC president and former CM Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, he said his narrow-mindedness was revealed when he made fake allegations of irregularities in sports quota when the sportspersons are excelling and exhibiting their talent at the state and national levels with their best performance.
Lokesh said the teachers who were insulted by the YSRC leaders met the officials at SAAP office and sought justice. He alleged that Jagan’s criminal mentality was revealed when he provoked rowdy-sheeters, ganja smugglers and blade batch criminals against the teachers.
Teachers need to be worshipped and respected for their knowledge but Jagan’s followers attacked them with sticks. The YSRC leaders should stop attacking government schools and teachers, as strict action would be initiated against them, he warned.
