WARANGAL: Medical, health and family welfare department principal secretary Christina Z. Chongthu directed officials to expedite construction of the under-construction super speciality hospital in Warangal and complete the works within the stipulated deadline.
Chongthu inspected the construction works on Monday along with director of medical education Dr N. Vani. Warangal collector Dr Satya Sarada and Hanamkonda collector Chahat Bajpai welcomed her by presenting saplings.
She later reviewed various issues related to the medical and health department with officials and sought details of completed and ongoing works, pending construction, infrastructure and other facilities at the hospital.
Chongthu also reviewed the medical services and facilities that would be available to the public once the hospital becomes operational.
She directed officials to maintain quality standards in construction and ensure coordination among various departments to complete the works at the earliest. She said necessary measures should be taken to provide better and quality healthcare services to the public.
Officials from the departments concerned participated in the inspection.
