The Kansas City Chiefs are loving life again with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce at the centre of it all, but their underrated teammate is actually making them tick, as per Pat McAfee.
After a 33-30 win against the Colts, the Kansas City Chiefs are officially one of the teams to beat this season, led by Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

Mahomes has shaken off his injury worries to come back as strong as ever, while Kelce, who looked a step slower last season, has roared back to form.
They combined to give the Chiefs the win against the Colts, but according to Pat McAfee, the man making everything tick is neither of these players.

Struggling with injuries to Mahomes and the decline of Kelce last season, the Chiefs finished with a losing record of 6-11, with their away woes damning, in particular, as they won just one of their eight away games.
They finished last season with a six-game losing streak to miss the playoffs, and obituaries were being written of their contention chances before this season began.

However, Mahomes looked ready to go in training camp, and Kelce has found a new wind this season. According to Pat McAfee, the reason is Kenneth Walker.
He said[via ESPN]: “If you have a good run game, the defense is dictated upon that. You’ve got Patrick Mahomes who can do his Mahomes Magic. With the weapons and speed that they have, we mentioned Travis Kelce. Those linebackers have to respect Kenneth Walker.
“Kelce can do the little swoop game behind him and be open all day. Kelce and Mahomes look like they’re back in their heyday strictly because Kenneth Walker is there.”
Walker joined the Chiefs from the Seattle Seahawks this season and looks like the perfect fit next to Mahomes and Kelce. He already has 290 Rushing Yards Gained through two games, compared to a total of 1027 in 17 games during all of last season.

The running back is making everything tick for the Chiefs, and in the process, he has unleashed the most fearsome duo in the NFL all over again.
