The Trojans passed the first test of their two-game gauntlet against the top two ranked teams in the state. The Trojans took down Kahuku 28-6 with another well-balanced effort on both sides of the ball. Every week it’s a new player stepping up, and in this game, it was running back Toa Sam who got things rolling with a pair of early touchdown runs. Standout junior quarterback Hunter Fujikawa then got in to the act with a pair of touchdown throws to Hayden Bajet and Ashton Grace. Sam finished with 111 yards on the ground, and Fujikawa threw for 201 yards and the two scores. The Trojans will host the new No. 2-ranked Campbell on Saturday.
The Sabers won their 5th straight game and moved up to No. 2 in the state. They will travel to play at Mililani in a 1 vs 2 matchup on Friday. Campbell blew out Kailua 63-7, scoring in all three phases of the game. Sacramento State commit Isaiah Chong had a pick-six in his second straight game and the Sabers defense as a whole picked off three passes, forced four total turnovers, and had five sacks on the night. A balanced running attack led the offense, with Charlesten Salazar, Champ Borges, and James Lucas Tuazon combining for 221 yards and five touchdowns. The Sabers will need to continue to run the ball and control the clock to pull off the upset against Mililani on Saturday.

The Hurricanes’ defense pitched their third shutout of the season with a dominant 42-0 win over Leilehua. Kapolei had nearly 500 yards of total offense and held Leilehua to just 131. Quarterback Jonez Nunuha was an efficient 8-12 passing for 182 yards and two touchdowns and Zeph Salis, Chazz-Michael Kapahu all had rushing touchdowns. Linebacker Kaimana Sione was the defensive star of the game with nine tackles and two sacks. The Hurricanes will play at Kailua on Saturday.
The Red Raiders lost their third straight game to fall to 3-3 on the season. All three losses were against quality competition, including two of the top teams in California. Kahuku lost on Friday to Mililani 28-6. Lucky Suguturaga hit Jameel Dowling for a 2nd quarter touchdown and the only points of the night for the Red Raiders. The Red Raiders did rush for 126 yards and Suguturaga threw for 120 yards and the touchdown and he continues to show improvement as a dual-threat quarterback. Kahuku will next host Leilehua on Saturday.

The Warriors had a bye over the weekend and will play at St. Louis on Saturday.
The Marauders had a big win over a strong Aiea team, 49-21. Running back Tristan Pacheco rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns, including a 97-yard house call and standout junior safety Alii-Ali Togiai-Woodard added a 99-yard pick-six. The Marauders will host 9th-ranked Wai’anae on Friday.
The Crusaders hung around with national power Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco early on and played some inspired football throughout. The Braves eventually took over and pulled away 63-21, but St. Louis was down just 28-21 at the half. After being shut out the previous two weeks and going through a coaching change earlier in the week, St. Louis coming out and playing a competitive game was encouraging. The Crusaders will host No. 5-ranked Kamehameha on Saturday.

The Buff ‘n Blue had a bye over the weekend and will host Cardinal Newman on Saturday.
The Seariders stayed unbeaten with a 36-0 shutout win over Moanalua. Max Kaleiopu went off in this one, rushing for 157 yards and four touchdowns on just nine carries. John-Michael Kaio threw for 184 yards and a touchdown, and receiver Makana Yahiku-Solomon caught six passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. The Seariders will play at No. 6-ranked Waipahu on Friday.
10. Kapaa (2-1-1)
Kapaa had an impressive shutout win over Kaua’i 37-0. The Warriors led 23-0 at the half and put this one away early. Quarterback Kaitin Mundon had a strong game, rushing for two touchdowns and throwing for another. Pierce Rosario added a touchdown catch in the 4th quarter to put the game out of reach. The Warriors will host Waimea on Saturday.
