Aaron Donald is officially back with the Los Angeles Rams following a brief retirement from the NFL.
The Los Angeles Rams had a brutal start to the 2026-27 NFL season, as they began it with a one-sided loss against the San Francisco 49ers in Australia.

However, the Rams bounced back in Week 2 with a blowout 28-6 win over the New York Giants. The game also marked the return of Aaron Donald, as he played in the NFL for the first time since 2024.

Aaron Donald reflects on NFL return after a rusty season debut
While Donald stayed in shape, it was obvious that he was rusty in his first NFL game in nearly two-and-a-half years.
In fact, Donald didn’t shy away from the difficulties of returning to the league during the postgame interview.
“It felt good to be out there, get my first game under my belt after two years. I’m a little sore out there, a little sore. Get my body back right and get back to work,” Donald said.
In his regular-season debut, Donald finished the night game with 32 total snaps, 18 pass rush snaps, three total tackles, and one tackle for loss amid other things.

At 35 years old, Donald is still a threat on the field, which was evident by the Giants routinely double-teaming the defensive tackle.
