Katie Price has revealed her son Harvey has lost two stone. The 24-year-old son of the ex-glamour model has Prader-Willi syndrome, which means he’s often hungry.
Now, Katie, 48, has revealed that Harvey, who also has autism, ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder, has managed to achieve considerable weight loss after being prescribed Mounjaro.
Speaking on the latest episode of her podcast The Katie Price Show she said: “And yeah he’s started Mounjaro because I told you he’s lost two stone. And I can really see him losing weight.”
Clearly thrilled with the news, Katie’s younger sister Sophie replied: “That’s great!”
Last month, the former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! contestant said she feared her son would suffer a heart attack, explaining that he now weighs just under 30 stone.
Speaking on Andrew Gold’s Heretics podcast, Katie said: “I’m not worried about his eyesight. What I’m worried about is him having a heart attack, his obesity. He weighs just under 30 stone.”
She said: “I’ve tried going private with him to start him on Mounjaro, but because of his medical… it’s easy for me to just give it, but because of his other medication, you have to have all the team tick it off.”
Revealing her son was now at “high risk of having a heart attack”, she added: “It’s getting to a point now, where he doesn’t want to walk anywhere, he gets out of breath and sweats and they have said he is at high risk of having a heart attack.
“You try to [force him to walk] but he literally breaks into a sweat. I bath him twice a day and it breaks my heart seeing him get in and out of the bath because he’s so big and heavy.”
Harvey, who has a legion of fans, is renowned for his uncensored comments. Explaining that he will make fun of himself, Katie shared: “He goes: ‘I’m like a humpback whale’, and I’m like: ‘No you’re not Harv, I love you’.”
Katie was then asked if her son ever gets upset over his weight. However, she replied: “No. He says he’s got Santa’s belly, he’s all about Christmas now. “It’s funny, if he sees someone with a big belly, he goes ‘you’re a fat pepper pig’, randomly in the shops.
“He just comes out with it and I go: ‘Harv, you mustn’t say that’ and he goes ‘sorry, d***head’, and I’m like ‘Harv, you mustn’t call them a d***head’.”
