Hunkkaar: The Roar had its Mumbai moment on Wednesday, with the makers hosting a special screening just a day before the series drops on JioHotstar. Directed by Nitya Mehra and Karan D., the courtroom crime drama centres on a teenager, played by breakout star Aneet Padda, who takes on a powerful, widely revered godman she accuses of sexual misconduct, played by veteran actor Raghubir Yadav. It’s a premise that promises to blur the line between faith and justice, and going by the buzz at the screening, expectations are running high.
The cast turned up in full force to mark the occasion, with Fatima Sana Shaikh, Arjun Mathur and Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub joining Aneet on the red carpet.
