Hyderabad: The videos of Telangana police personnel dancing during the immersion of towering Khairatabad Ganesh idol on Friday went viral on social media, evoking positive response from netizens.
Minutes after the procession started from Khairatabad pandal, devotees started dancing to the songs. Following requests from the devotees, the police officials and the staff, who were on bandobust duty accompanying the procession, joined and began dancing to the pulsating beats of Telangana folk songs.
It was the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Saifabad, Sanjay Kumar, who first joined the youth followed by the Inspectors and constables. Khairatabad Deputy Commissioner of Police, K Shilpavalli was seen encouraging the police to dance.
Responding to the videos, netizens appreciated the police for participating in the celebrations. “Men in uniform deserve applause for their hard work,” a netizen said.
