Brooke Hogan has spent years keeping her personal life away from the spotlight, but her secret marriage and growing family have recently drawn attention amid her ongoing estrangement from her family.
The daughter of late wrestling icon Hulk Hogan and his ex-wife Linda Hogan secretly married former NHL player Steven Oleksy in 2022. The couple later welcomed twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene, in January 2025. But Brookeâs parents reportedly knew little about the family she had built with Oleksy.
Brooke’s estrangement from Hulk became particularly painful in the final years of his life, while her relationship with Linda has also remained complicated.

Steven Oleksy is a former professional hockey player who played in the NHL, including time with the Washington Capitals and Anaheim Ducks. After retiring from hockey, he remained involved in coaching and mentoring.
Brooke and Oleksy quietly exchanged vows in Florida in June 2022. Their wedding remained private for more than a year before the news became public in late 2023. The public came to know about Brookeâs husband in 2024 when she shared an Instagram post and introduced Steven, writing:
“Here he is, people: The kindest, sweetest badass youâll ever meet. Iâm really lucky. God did me a solid on this one.”
The former NHL player also acknowledged their marriage publicly, explaining that while he valued privacy, the secret had eventually become too difficult to keep. The couple expanded their family in 2025, welcoming fraternal twins Oliver and Molly on January 15. Several days later, Brooke announced the little ones’ arrival, sharing photos of herself holding the newborns.
Hulk Hogan wasn’t interested in meeting Brooke’s twins
Given their years of estrangement, which only increased after Brooke secretly married Steven, neither of her parents was initially aware of the newborns. The father and daughter’s already strained relationship worsened when Hulk allegedly refused to meet his grandchildren.
According to Olesky, he had tried to contact Hulk “about a month and a half after” the twins were born, hoping the wrestling legend would meet his grandchildren. However, he said there was little interest from Hulk’s end. Steven told PEOPLE:
“I sent text messages once again to kind of gauge where he was at, but there was no interest.”
It was Brooke’s brother, Nick Hogan, who once suggested that he would come over with their father to meet the babies, but that meeting never happened. Throughout her estrangement from Hulk, Steven made sure to stay in touch with Brooke’s family, attempting to keep communication open while also supporting his wife.
The former hockey player has described how much Brooke had done for her father before their relationship deteriorated. He said she had traveled to Florida for Hulkâs surgeries, often paying for the trips herself, and had taken detailed notes from his doctors. Oleksy told PEOPLE at that time:
“She was there for every surgery leading up to the last two years. She would fly down on her own dime, take care of her dad, and it just made a lot of sense. No one understood his body, procedures, medications, and everything else more than my wife.”
Brooke ultimately stepped away from her relationship with Hulk during the last two years of his life, saying she needed to protect her emotional well-being.
Steven has stood by Brooke throughout the family feud
Even though most of his efforts yielded no outcome from Hulk’s side of the family, Steven Olesky stood firm in supporting his wife as she navigated the fallout from her family relationships. In a September 15, 2026 Instagram post, the reality TV star praised her husband for being there for her during difficult moments and described how he supported her without trying to fix everything.
Brooke wrote, “Some days I need a supportive husband. You never fail me.” She went on to praise Steven for the way he loves their children, saying that seeing him in those moments “heals the little girl in me.”
She described him as “Coach,” referencing his work mentoring young athletes and explaining how he encouraged her to look beyond her fears and focus on what was possible. Brooke ended her loving tribute by writing:
“I am so proud to be your wife…I see another reason why I – and so many other people love you so much.”
Hulk Hogan died on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71, after suffering a cardiac arrest in his Clearwater home. After his death, Brooke addressed their estrangement and explained that it had not resulted from one single argument, but a series of private conversations and painful experiences. In a new interview with Us Weekly, Brooke revealed that the relationship changed permanently after he slept with her former best friend, Christiane Plante.
Despite the family conflict, Brooke has continued to build a life with Steven Olesky and their twins away from much of the spotlight.
