Vikarabad: Nearly Rs.20 lakh in cash and four tolas of gold were destroyed in a fire that broke out at a house in Bandivada village of Doulatabad mandal in Vikarabad district.
The fire occurred at the residence of Bandi Anjappa. According to preliminary reports, the flames engulfed the house, reducing the cash and gold kept inside to ashes. The family members were inconsolable after the incident.
Police reached the spot and began an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the fire. The reason for the blaze is yet to be established.
