Pete Wicks and Olivia Attwood have finally gone Instagram official after months of speculation, but Pete answered the question on everyone’s lips – could wedding bells be on the cards
Pete Wicks and Olivia Attwood are one of most talked-about celebrity couples in Britain right now. They confirmed their relationship after months of speculation following Olivia’s split from footballer Bradley Dack.
Since then they have made a number of public appearance and bombarded each other’s Instagram accounts with loved-up selfies of the pair of them.
But are wedding bells on the cards for Olivia and Pete? That is the question on everyone’s lips. Olivia was reported to have married her ex-Bradley in June 2023, but after their split it was reported that the couple were never legally married.
According to former Strictly star Pete, 37, the lovebirds won’t be walking down the aisle anytime soon. Speaking to Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on Heart, when asked the wedding question, he said: “Not anytime soon.”
Expanding on why their relationship works, Pete continued: “No, Liv and I have known each other for a long time. It’s amazing, she’s like one of my best friends but also someone I really fancy.”
Ex-TOWIE cast member Pete and Olivia, 35, first met almost a decade ago at the Specsavers Awards in London.
But they stepped their relationship up a notch when Olivia split with her footballer ex. Pete made his feelings clear, declaring his love with a t-shirt which read “I love my girlfriend” on a recent Instagram post.
It has seemingly taken no time at all for the pair to come up with pet names for the other. Despite this, Pete is less than enamoured with his new nickname.
Jamie said: “I’ve just looked at her Instagram, and there’s a photo saying ‘my little selfie with Pee-Wee’. Is that what she calls you?” Pete explained the meaning behind the name. He said: “So Pee-Wee started with her sister.
“We were on holiday in St Tropez a couple of months ago with her sister and her sister’s husband. And her sister started calling me PeeWee and she knows I hate it, so now it’s just Pee-Wee at every opportunity.
“It’s just not great for a nearly 40 year old man to be called Pee-Wee, let’s be honest. Everyone thinks it’s very odd.”
In a separate media appearance, Pete hinted he was ready to take his relationship with Olivia to the next level. While that might not be marriage, it could be purchasing a shared dog.
Pete appeared on This Morning to discuss his TV show Pete Wicks: For Dogs‘ Sake. Between them, Pete and Olivia share three big dogs – and according to Pete, there could be an addition to the clan.
This Morning’s Ben Shephard asked: “Is there a suggestion that there might be another (dog)?”
Pete replied: “Listen, I would always love to take more dogs. My mission in life is to disappear from society, buy some land and just live with dogs. But I think I’m a little way off that, yet.”
