It’s known that Raashii Khanna is playing an important role in Superstar Rajinikanth’s Dharman. The actress took to Instagram today to share a BTS picture of herself with the legendary actor as well as Telugu actor Ram Pothineni. She has since deleted it.
‘Lots of laughter’
“A little glimpse into the world I have been living in for a while now in Mysore. Early morning workouts with Rajini Sir and Ram, because apparently the day starts before the day starts. A little temple hopping, a little wandering, some UNO and lots of laughter. And yes, the Mysore dosa deserved its own moment,” the actress wrote.
The Raashii-Ram duo has previously collaborated on two Telugu movies – Shivam and Hyper. It’s rumoured that they both play a romantic pair in Dharman, which is scheduled to be released in theatres for Pongal 2027.
Rajinikanth is Raashii’s buddy
Raashii wrote about her experience of working with the Kollywood legend, revealing that she puts questions to him all the time. The Jailer 2 actor “patiently answers them all”. Calling him a “buddy”, the Prati Roju Pandage and Madras Cafe actress added, “He has a great sense of humour too, so he pulls my leg sometimes, which is really fun.” Raashii added that she has never met a superstar who is so “humble and grounded”. The multilingual actress is surely having a blast doing Dharman, produced by Kamal Haasan.
Balancing multiple industries
In recent years, Hindi films like Yodha, The Sabarmati Report and 120 Bahadur have kept Raashii busy. At the same time, she has remained active in Telugu and Tamil cinema. Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh this year and Telusu Kada last year in Telugu featured her in diverse roles. Thiruchitrambalam, Sardar and Aranmanai 4 in Tamil are notable, too.
In one of her earlier interviews, she hilariously described balancing multiple regional film industries as feeling like “a lifelong exam that just doesn’t end”. That’s because there is always a new accent or pronunciation to learn, with no final graduation day.
