Chennai: The Chennai Central Crime Branch on Tuesday carried out searches in the houses of the son and daughter of P.T. Arasakumar accused in the Rs. 100 crore private school approval case.
The raids have been carried out to collect the documents related to the requests of the private schools for approval and other services for the schools besides the records for the money transaction and digital records related to the scam.
Arasakumar was arrested on June 27 on charges of collecting Rs. 100 crore from various private school managements by promising to get recognition and various permissions for the schools during the DMK government.
Cases have been filed against former school education minister Anbil Mahesh in the same scam and investigations are on.
