Michelle Keegan has wowed fans with a romantic post documenting her recent trip to Paris after dropping “subtle hints” to husband Mark Wright that she wanted to go to see Celine Dion in concert
Michelle Keegan has admitted she had to drop “subtle hints” to secure the date night of her dreams with husband Mark Wright. The actress, 39, has been married to former TOWIE star Mark, also 39, since 2015 and in March last year, they welcomed the first child, a daughter named Palma, together.
On Tuesday, Michelle took to Instagram to reveal that she had been hoping to get the chance to see Celine Dion in concert in Paris, where the My Heart Will Go On songstress is currently performing her extended residency at the Plentitude Arena.
Alongside a series of snaps, Michelle wrote on social media: “Turns out dropping subtle hints for months really does work…Celine Dion in Paris … magic.”
In one snap, the couple posed happily in a bar and with the rest of the snaps, Michelle posted footage from the concert showed off other highlights from their trip to the French capital as she posed in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Fans were quick to react to the romantic post, and many praised her for latest performance in ITV drama The Blame, which follows detectives from Wakestead Police Station during their inquiry into the death of a teenage figure skater. One wrote: “Love that you got your wish (a little bit jel) but well deserved after a masterful performance in The Blame.”
Another said: “Congratulations Michelle the blame was absolutely amazing fantastic drama,” and a third wrote: “Amazing, and what a brilliant performance in ‘The blame’ take a bow girl watched it all in one day I was hooked every episode.”
A fourth said: “Beautiful and amazing couple,” and a fifth wrote: “Absolutely Stunning couple,” whilst a sixth said: “Lovely couple, lovely photo.”
For Michelle and Mark, the wish fulfilment comes just days after Mark revealed he had denied her the chance to have a Halloween party at their Essex home.
Asked whether the former Coronation Street star enjoys the spooky season, Mark said: “Yeah, loves Halloween. She tried to call in a party at the house. I said no, cos I don’t like mess the next day.”
Celine’s comeback to the stage comes four years after announced to the world that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person’s Syndrome. It is an extremely rare and devastating neurological condition that causes severe muscle spasms and stiffness, leaving sufferers feeling locked inside their own bodies, which led to Celine cancelling her Courage world tour.
On opening night earlier this month, she told the crowd: “”I made a promise… I made a promise to come back and to be back on stage. And here I am, singing for you and singing for me… singing live!
“If it’s your first time in Paris, I hope you fall in love with it. I know I did. Thank you so very much for your support, for your patience, and if I may say so… I am everything I am because you loved me.”
