Visakhapatnam:District collector M. Abhishek Kishore reviewed the progress of projects proposed under the Visakhapatnam Economic Region (VER) at a meeting held at the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA).
The collector directed officials to expedite VER projects and prepare action plans for those still at the conceptual stage. He said priority should be given to projects that could contribute significantly to the region’s economic growth and infrastructure development.
Kishore urged officials to formulate projects capable of attracting private investment and generating employment through public-private partnerships. He stressed the need for a focused approach to converting proposals into action.
The meeting also reviewed engineering projects being executed by VMRDA, including their implementation stages and issues affecting progress. Officials discussed measures to ensure their timely completion.
VMRDA additional commissioner Datla Keerthi, chief engineer Vinay Kumar, OSD Krishna Nayak, additional secretary Rushi Babu, superintending engineers Rambabu and Madhusudhan Rao, and other engineering officials attended the meeting.
