Amid this, Govinda and Sunita’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, attended an event recently, where she was asked to comment on her father’s alleged mistress, Komal. She didn’t seem happy about it and straightaway told the interviewer that the event was not a place to discuss such things. Her reaction video was all over social media. Following this, Tina also gave an interview, where she called herself a fan of her dad.
To mention, even though it feels like Sunita and Govinda aren’t on good terms, it was during Ganesh Puja 2026 that the actor was seen with his kids, Tina and Yashvardhan. Following Tina’s refusal to talk about her father’s alleged affair to Komal, she gave an interview to IANS and talked about his fashion sense, stating that she liked it because it seemed to have worked for the actor in the 1990s.
According to her, Govinda enjoyed it for himself, and thus it mattered most to those who enjoyed watching him on screen, including her. When asked whether her father should have adopted a more conventionally stylish fashion statement than his contemporaries, Tina disagreed. She further called herself a fan of Govinda while talking about her admiration for him. Tina could be quoted as saying:
“Personally, it worked for him, and he enjoyed it, so as far as he was enjoying it, I was enjoying looking at him, and people enjoyed looking at him. So that’s what matters. No, I didn’t feel that at all because I myself am a Govinda fan, so I used to enjoy all his movies and his style, his songs. They were, like, too good, I feel,”

Govinda and Sunita got married in 1987 and welcomed two kids. Initially, the couple kept their relationship a secret, and she couldn’t realise how huge her husband’s stardom was. However, when Tina was born, everybody eventually got to know about it. Sunita also once revealed that the day Tina was born, her husband was working five shifts.
The actor was not present with Sunita, and it was the actor’s mother who was by her side. Govinda would call and ask Sunita if Tina was born, and it was during his third shift that day when she welcomed their daughter.
Tina, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, shared that Govinda was an absent father. She revealed how her dad was mostly absent during her school years and stated that it was her mom who would take care of everything.
Eventually, after growing up, Tina started working with her dad, and that’s how she came closer to him. In another interview with Hauterrfly, Tina mentioned that her dad would think that providing materialistic things would be the only way to win his daughter, which was not the case. She said:
“My dad has always pampered me with materialistic things. He feels that is the only way he can win his daughter but it’s of course not like that. He used to shoot with David uncle during May-June when our schools had holidays, even Hero No. 1 was shot then.”
