When the Chanel spring/summer 2027 ready-to-wear show took place in Paris on October 5, the front row drew almost as much attention as the runway, with Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa, Alexa Demie and Pedro Pascal all taking their seats among a guest list that read like a film festival jury.
Kidman led the arrivals in a grey blazer dress paired with a burgundy bag and a long curtain fringe, and she was joined by her youngest daughter Faith, 15, who wore jeans with a charcoal cardigan in a tone that echoed her mother’s outfit. It was Faith’s second Paris appearance in as many days, since she had watched her older sister Sunday Rose walk in the Valentino show the previous Sunday.
While the Kidmans favoured charcoal, Dua Lipa and Alexa Demie brought the colour to the row in red. Lipa wore a dress in shades of red and pink covered in graphic floral details and feathers, finished with a thigh-high split, and Demie, the Euphoria star, offered a fresh take on the house’s signature quilting in a shiny red mini skirt suit made from a version of the fabric usually seen on Chanel handbags.
Pedro Pascal went for black trousers and a turtleneck topped with a classic tweed coat, its orange buttons adding a small flash of colour to an otherwise dark outfit. Marion Cotillard, the French actress and longtime Chanel ambassador, wore a black tank top with steel blue trousers detailed in black, while Rosie Huntington-Whiteley arrived in an elegant tonal ensemble.
Kristen Wiig wore a minidress, and Ayo Edebiri threw a check jacket over a black and white minidress with her usual ease. Sandra Hüller chose a suiting look of wide-legged black trousers and a long check vest, which brought a tailored note to a front row that otherwise leaned towards the short and the sparkling.
