Man taken into custody after person found dead in Perth home

WA Police have confirmed a man has been found dead at a home in Perth’s southern suburbs following reports of a serious incident on Thursday afternoon, and another man has been taken into custody.

Around 2.20pm, police were called to a residence along Nye Way in Orelia. A number of officers attended the scene, including detectives and forensic specialists.

A man was found dead inside the home and a second man – known to the deceased – was also found inside and has been taken into custody.

He is assisting police with inquiries.

The investigation, led by officers from the Homicide Squad, remains ongoing at this time.
