Katrina Kaif grabbed attention when she attended Ambani’s Ganpati celebrations with her husband, Vicky Kaushal. The actress, who has been away from film projects after welcoming her first child, started getting trolled on social media. Apparently, gaining weight, that too during postpartum, didn’t make sense to the trolls, who continued commenting on the actress’ appearance.
Following this, Salman Khan, during an episode of Bigg Boss 20, reacted to people’s way of demeaning a celebrity for their appearance. He didn’t take anyone’s name; however, he was praised by Katrina’s fans for defending the actress. Now, Katrina finally addressed the online criticism, weeks after being body-shamed on social media. Katrina Kaif was recently in London to celebrate the first anniversary of Kay Beauty’s launch in the UK.

During the same event, Katrina Kaif addressed online criticism and revealed that she doesn’t let any criticism dictate her actions; if she did, she would be scared and stuck in her life, unable to move forward. Katrina added that people will celebrate you at times and not at others, but you should always stick up for yourself and be your own cheerleader. Katrina could be quoted as saying:
“Personally, for me, every time I face critique or comments, if I let that dictate my actions… I would have been paralysed with fear unable to move ahead in my life or in any sphere of life. There are times when the world is going to celebrate you, and other times you have to really be your own biggest cheerleader.”

Katrina is one of Bollywood’s most promising actresses, and her skills over the years have left people in awe of her. Katrina has always been called very hard-working and a dedicated professional, who gave her all to every project she was in. Right now, she is thriving with her brand, Kay Beauty. At the recent event, Katrina talked about the importance of self-acceptance.
According to her, confidence and self-perception can co-exist on different days and phases of life. It means one can thrive and excel in every aspect of his/her life, and it can also happen that self-doubt will creep in, and one should always be true to themselves and be honest with it.
Salman Khan defended Katrina Kaif after she was body-shamed
Soon after Katrina was trolled, Salman Khan, while being on Bigg Boss 20, blasted the trollers for their mean comments on celebrities. Salman Khan hit back at the trolls who often made remarks on his weight, age, and hair. He also talked about people’s mean comments on actresses for their pregnancy or postpartum weight gain.
While he didn’t take Katrina’s name, the fact that the actor’s blasting remarks came just after Katrina received mean comments about her postpartum weight gain made people believe that it was the actor’s way of defending her.

Speaking about the mean remarks on actresses’ weight gain, Salman Khan questioned trolls: how can people even make comments on women gaining weight due to pregnancy or during their postpartum phase? He added that it’s a natural process and that nobody should judge a person’s appearance or their desire to be with their family, as, according to the actor, when an actress decides to make a comeback, she will surely be fit again.
