Matildas’ starting XI
Germany’s starting XI
Good morning!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Matildas v Germany, ranked third in the world to Australia’s 15th. Once the powerhouses of women’s soccer, Germany is a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup winner, going back-to-back in 2003 and 2007.
It’s a cool 12 degrees near the French border in Karlsruhe where the match is set to kick-off just past 5.30am AEST. It’ll be 8.30pm local time at the stadium, BBBank Wildpark. My name is Frances Howe and I’ll be with you live through the match.
