Even though his colleagues like GV Prakash and Anirudh Ravichandran are signing more Telugu movies, while Sai is reportedly restricted in Tollywood until release of Raaka.
New music sensation Sai Abhyankar has quickly become one of South Indian cinema’s most exciting young music composers, thanks to viral independent hits such as Katchi Sera, Aasa Kooda and Pavazha Malli. His work in films including Dude and Suriya’s Karuppu has further raised his profile, leaving fans curious about his next Telugu projects.
The reason for not signing new Telugu film is his contractual obligations with Raaka. Director Atlee’s ambitious collaboration with Allu Arjun. According to industry reports, Sai has agreed not to sign another Telugu film until Raaka reaches theatres. The reported condition has not been officially confirmed by the makers.
An exclusivity clause would give Sai the opportunity to concentrate on Raaka, but it could also mean fewer Telugu film announcements until the project progresses further. He continues to have projects in other industries, so the reported restriction appears to concern Telugu films rather than his entire career. For now, audiences are waiting to hear what he brings to Allu Arjun and Atlee’s highly anticipated film.
Thereafter, he will do more Telugu movies like his peers and mint money.
