Two of the Premier League’s biggest underachievers go head to head at Old Trafford on Saturday as Manchester United host Tottenham.
According to Transfermarkt, the two clubs have squads worth a combined £1.5 billion – yet they have managed just one Premier League win combined so far.
That was United’s 5-2 win over Ipswich Town on August 30, taking two points from three league games since then.
Spurs have been even worse. Roberto De Zerbi splashed the cash over the summer on the likes of Sandro Tonali, Savio, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke, but his side are yet to conjure up a single victory.
