Young man severely injured after jumping from height into pool

A man is in hospital with severe injuries after he jumped from a height into a pool.

The man, aged in his 20s, injured his leg at a home in Hawthorne, east Brisbane, about 11.20pm on Saturday.

He had reportedly jumped from a five-metre height into the pool.

Paramedics described his injuries as significant and potentially life-threatening.

The man remains at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition, Queensland Health confirmed on Sunday morning.
