KARIMNAGAR: 112 unemployed youth, who underwent training in the Singareni GVTC Skill Development Centre in the Ramagundam–1 area, have been selected for various jobs in different companies.

While 87 women were selected for Foxconn, 25 men were recruited for Larsen and Toubro Company.

Last week, Foxconn conducted special recruitment interviews for women candidates at the GVTC Skill Development Centre.

A total of 87 women were selected to work in the assembly sections for Apple EarPods and electronic components at the company’s manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. The first batch of 55 women selected for Foxconn left Godavarikhani for Hyderabad on Sunday.

Similarly, 25 males were selected for solar technician jobs, and they would join L&T Company within ten days.

General manager, RG-I area, D. Lalith Kumar said that the centre launched two years ago by Deputy Chief Minister and minister for energy Bhatti Vikramarka has been providing skill training and employment opportunities to local youth.

It has facilitated employment opportunities for more than 500 candidates over the past two years. The centre is taking steps to provide training in courses that are in demand in the job market and link skill development with suitable employment opportunities.

Singareni was committed to equipping youth from Singareni-affected areas with the skills required to secure employment.

Linking training with job opportunities enables young people to build a better future for themselves, he said, and advised the selected candidates to make the best use of the opportunities offered to them, maintain discipline at work and strive for professional growth.
