The battle of the birds is on tonight.
At 8:20 p.m. ET, the Baltimore Ravens will swoop into the Atlanta Falcons’ home Mercedes-Benz Stadium for a meaningful Week 5 Sunday Night Football showdown with potential playoff implications.
Ahead of the matchup, Michael Penix Jr.’s 2-2 club resurrected their season with a huge 45-24 MNF road win over the New Orleans Saints in the 20th anniversary of “Domecoming.”
“I think all these games are challenges in tough environments on the road, great defenses across the other side,” Atlanta head coach Kevin Stefanski said after the victory. “We’re excited about this one, we’ll learn from this one and then we’ll get to the next one.”

On the other side of the gridiron, the visiting Ravens are without their star quarterback Lamar Jackson. Backup Tyler Huntley will sub in for him while Jackson nurses his unconventional ankle sprain.
Due to the 2019 and ’23 NFL MVP’s absence, oddsmakers believe Atlanta has the advantage today. They’re considered 3.5-point favorites.
Atlanta publication The Falcoholic writes “the circumstances here—the potent primetime Falcons, their hot play, being at home, the Ravens being so dinged up and minus Jackson—set this up for Atlanta to win if they can just seize the opportunity and play the caliber of football they’ve managed these past two weeks.”
Clearly, this battle isn’t for the birds. Make it appointment viewing.
