Mum-of-two Christina Aguilera wowed fans who say she has ‘barely aged’ as she stepped out in a transparent dress and tiny leather shorts at MISTR’s second annual National PrEP Day Celebration
Christina Aguilera appears to have barely aged if her latest look is anything to go by – as she rolled back the years in an outfit similar to those she donned in 2002. The 45-year-old rose to stardom following the release of her debut single, Genie In A Bottle in 1999, and has since gone on to record nine studio albums.
Arguably, her most famous track came in the form of the 2002 hit Dirrty. The singer drastically changed her image for the raunchy record, Stripped, which prompted fans to label her ‘Xtina’.
The video for “Dirrty” featured Christina dancing in an underground boxing club wearing a bikini and PVC stockings. These daring fashion choices were also reflected in the chart-topper’s live performances of the time.
Leather chaps, scarf tops and ultra-low rise jeans were among her outfit favourites. Not only did she look fabulous in them, but they also helped transform her from a cutesy Disney star to a pop diva.
But it seems these style staples have been updated for 2026. On Sunday (October 11), Christina attended MISTR’s second annual National PrEP Day Celebration at The Abbey Food & Bar in West Hollywood, sporting a look that wouldn’t have been out of place more than two decades ago.
At the bash, where several stars spotlighted HIV prevention and access to the medication PrEP, Christina posed in a black, sheer, figure-hugging dress over a tiny leather skirt, which she paired with matching thigh-high heeled boots.
In a look that was a throwback to her music heyday, the star allowed her long blonde locks to flow freely as she pouted for photographers. However, she brought the outfit into 2026 with the mesh detailing and suspenders.
Writing in response to images shared to social media, one fan asked in shock: “Is that Xtina? My God she looks great.” A second added: “For real Xtina photo looks like it was cropped from 1999.”
A third commented: “She looks damn fine!” While a fourth X user agreed: “Xtina looks amazing!”
Alongside Christina, National PrEP Day was also attended by several other famous faces, including Charli xcx, Kesha, Demi Lovato and Chappell Roan.
So how does Christina stay looking so youthful? Unlike many celebrities who dodge the plastic surgery question, Christina has been an open book.
In 2023, she partnered with Merz Aesthetics as an ambassador for Xeomin, an anti-wrinkle injectable similar to Botox. She has been vocal about relying on a “little help” to smooth fine lines, but always emphasises a natural look.
“I don’t want to have a frozen face,” she noted, highlighting her desire to maintain her facial expressions for the stage.
Christina has also pointed out how self-confidence can make you look radiant. Embracing what she calls an “old school approach”, she added: “I’m really into feeling more self-assured as you get older. That’s the thing to truly embrace.”
