Informed last week that he had allowed only one sack in his past 17 games, Andrew Thomas recoiled at the notion that he is playing well.
The left tackle maintains an All-Pro standard even if a combination of his injuries and the Giants’ annual late-season irrelevancy has prevented him from receiving the highest NFL honors in all but one of his first seven seasons.
So Thomas wasn’t happy with his performance again Sunday after tying the Commanders (allowing his first sack of the season and three pressures, per Pro Football Focus) despite fighting through a groin injury that now requires him to go through a pregame workout with the return-to-play trainer.
“I wasn’t physical enough,” Thomas told The Post after protecting on all 89 offensive snaps. “My technique wasn’t good enough.”
