Saint Sasha, the former girlfriend of RJ Mitte, has shared a heartbreaking tribute to the late actor. RJ, best known for playing Walter White Jr. in the hit show, tragically took his own life, aged 34, his spokesperson confirmed.
The Brownsville Police Department received a call at 12:50pm local time on Monday, and sadly, Mitte was found dead upon arrival. “The cause and manner of death are still pending, as there is currently an ongoing investigation,” they said.
A medical examiner will now determine the official cause of death, following an autopsy. However, there was no sign of foul play. Sasha said that she “fell in love with” RJ when they were just teenagers.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a moving tribute, writing: “I fell in love for the first time when I was 18. RJ was the first person to show me how a man is supposed to treat a woman. He was the first partner to build me up and make me feel unstoppable.
“He had one of the kindest and rarest hearts I’d ever had the privilege to experience, and he was still a friend. I can’t believe this is real. Never in any lifetime could I forget him and how he made me feel. He was the first and last of his kind. Thank you for everything, endlessly, RJ. I love you, homie.”
Just days before his death, RJ made his final public appearance at the premiere of his new movie, Talking to Strangers, in California on September 30. The late actor appeared in 56 episodes of Breaking Bad between 2008 and the final episode in 2013.
But despite his fame from the show, RJ previously disclosed that, contrary to speculation, he was far from a multi-millionaire. The TV star claimed some of his financial misfortune was due to having a “bad” financial manager, whom he alleges was targeting people with disabilities and the elderly.
Asked to clarify whether the show made him a millionaire, RJ told The Iced Coffee Hour podcast: “I’ve paid more in taxes than I got from Breaking Bad. It’s just the name of the game with it. Like, you know, young kid.”
He continued: “I didn’t really see a lot of like… I had a team, a big team at one point, and I was travelling the world doing stuff and, like, so mostly my team. Like, I was paying to keep my career going. Like, I was paying to keep pushing forward and to keep doing that, and everything went back into the business.”
When asked if the rumours that he was worth between $3million and $5million were true, he confirmed this was just pure speculation. “I think it’s what I’ve earned in my entire life,” he said.
