Homicide detectives are probing the death of a man in Melbourne’s outer north on Thursday evening in what police suspect was a targeted attack.
Emergency services were called to a property in Gypsum Drive in Wollert after reports that a man had been found unresponsive just before 5.30pm.
Police said the yet-to-be formally identified man’s death is being treated as suspicious, and a crime scene had been established.
At this stage, police are investigating if the incident was a targeted killing.
In a statement late Thursday, police said no arrests had been made and the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident would be ongoing.
