In the upcoming biography, Kim Kardashian recalled that she got pregnant within a few months after she started dating Kanye, and it was even before the couple had a real fight. During that time, Kim was not on birth control, a decision she made after she got a few tests done along with her sister, Khloe.
After the tests were done, Kim was told by the doctors that she didn’t have many eggs left, and they recommended that she stop using pills. She followed, and within just one month of the same, Kim conceived. Kim recalled:
“And I was like, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll get all my blood tests with you so it won’t be scary.’ And we did it together. And then the results came back: ‘Khloé, you’re fine. But Kim? You have some problems.’ I never had a pregnancy scare or anything in my life, so I just went to Miami without birth control and got pregnant that first month. I was like, ‘F***.’ I literally thought my life was over.”
Kim Kardashian was left crying after she got to know about her getting pregnant. It was obvious that she might conceive, given that she stopped using birth control, but it still came as a shock to Kim, since she was told that she had a uterus of 50-years-old and that she would have to choose IVF and other methods to conceive. The SKIMS founder wanted to have her own time to decide whether she would move forward with the pregnancy, and within one week, she was sure to have the baby.
Kim Kardashian had a difficult first pregnancy
Kim Kardashian’s first pregnancy was a difficult one, and she had a rough time. Speaking of the same, Kim revealed that she was bleeding and thought she had miscarried. She even thought that she was going into labor within six months of her pregnancy, and after that, she welcomed her baby girl, North West, five weeks later. Sharing more about the same, Kim Kardashian said:
“I had a rough time from the start and a few scares. I thought I miscarried. I was bleeding a lot. At about six months, I thought I was going into labor, and then I ended up giving birth about five and a half weeks early.”
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, Kim, also developed preeclampsia and placenta accreta during her first pregnancy, something that happened during her second pregnancy as well. Kim once took to her social media handle and revealed that her body swelled due to preeclampsia, leading her to gain 60 pounds.
However, the SKIMS founder was hurt when she saw people’s comments on her body during that time. She stated that she was crying almost every single day, thinking about what was happening to her, while wondering if she would ever be able to go back to her pre-pregnancy body. However, the mom of four channeled it all and reached where she is now today.
