Another day, another win. Our Europa League treble on Thursday delivered the goods and we are four from four for the week on Tip of the Day.
No pressure then, heading into Friday.
With continental competitions in the books for another week, it’s time to turn attention back to the domestic leagues.
There’s a cracker in Championship between two sides relegated from the Premier League last season, and some enticing offerings in Spain and Germany among the fixtures on Friday.
As it’s Friday, why not go big? We’ve identified a three-leg acca with both teams to score in each game that offers a huge payout.
In the Championship, Burnley have enjoyed a resurgence of late after a dreadful start. They are unbeaten in their last three games, however, they have only kept one clean sheet in that run.
Hoping to take advantage of that lack of defensive solidity will be Wolves, who have slipped down the table of late following defeats to Middlesbrough and Bolton Wanderers. However, they have the edge in terms of quality and we’re going with Cesar Peixoto’s men to take all three points.
In Spain, Deportivo La Coruna have enjoyed an excellent start to life back in LaLiga, taking 10 points from eight games. They have lost only once in four home games, so we’re going with them to at least temporarily move into the top six with a win over a struggling Levante side that drew 3-3 with Sevilla last time out.
For a final selection we’re heading to the Bundesliga, in which Eintracht Frankfurt and Cologne kick off the weekend.
Cologne have yet to win away from home this season. We expect that run to continue but, against an Eintracht side that has already shipped 16 this season, we think the visitors will at least get a goal.
Friday’s tip (odds are from bet365 and correct as of 0800 on Friday, October 16)
Wolves to beat Burnley and both teams to score @ 24/5
Deportivo La Coruña to beat Levante and both teams to score @31/10
Eintracht Frankfurt to beat Cologne and both teams to score @ 13/8
Combined odds of 61.42/1
