Getafe‘s president has confirmed the LaLiga club are in talks to sign former Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.
Sancho has been without a club since his contract at Old Trafford expired this summer, having spent the 2025-26 season on loan at Aston Villa, with whom he won the Europa League.
The 26-year-old previously had loan spells with Chelsea in 2024-25 and Borussia Dortmund in 2023-24. Neither spell proved successful, with Sancho failing to hit the heights he reached during his first spell with Dortmund, which convinced United to make an ill-fated £73million move to secure his services.
Having reportedly turned down a move to Russian side Krasnodar, Sancho may now be bound for Spain, with Getafe president Angel Torres confirming the talks prior to their Conference League clash with Craiova.
He told Movistar Plus: “We are in talks with Sancho, just as we were three or four months ago.
“[Dani] Parejo could also be another option. We should be able to confirm whether or not we finalise these negotiations next week.”
Getafe have taken eight points from their opening eight LaLiga games and sit 14th in the table. They host fellow Madrid side Rayo Vallecano on Monday.
