More about Carrot Top
Carrot Top is a popular comedian. He rose to fame in the 1990s and is best known for his curly red hair, satirical comedy and use of props. CT was born as Scott Thompson on February 25, 1965. He is the son of NASA engineer Larry Thompson. Earlier, in an interview with Allison Kugel, the Las Vegas Strip comedian shared that he considered himself to be the black sheep of his family.
While his brother went to the Air Force Academy and became an F16 fighter jet pilot, and his dad worked at NASA and built spaceships and trained astronauts, he always wanted to be a comedian. Further, in the interview, CT admitted that when he confessed to his parents that he wanted to be a comedian, it was quite awkward, as they expected him to choose a more conventional career like engineering. In fact, his dad, Larry, did not even know what a stand-up comedian is.
CT said that while people know him for his comic stance, in his personal life, he is very shy and introverted. He also admitted that he is very private. He then spoke about his thoughts on retirement. The comedian explained that as he has grown older, he has become more confident and comfortable in his career.

CT shared that earlier in his career, he would get extremely nervous if a joke didn’t make people laugh or something went wrong during his show. While the comedian made people laugh with his own signature style, little did people know that CT was going through a lot. A few days back, TMZ reported that a frantic caller had dialed 911 when Carrot Top was barely conscious and struggling to breathe.
The caller reportedly told dispatchers that she went to check on CT after one of his employees asked her to. That was when she found him near the pool. The caller then informed the dispatchers that the comedian was awake; however, he appeared to be ‘passing out.’
