In a candid conversation backstage, Barbara Palvin revealed that she is extremely excited about her return. When asked how she went from new mom to returning to work so quickly, the model said it was normal and that maternity leave is usually six to eight weeks, so she returned at the right time. She was quoted as saying:
“I’m happy. I’m excited. I hope I don’t fall! I tell everyone: This is normal. Maternity leave is six to eight weeks; I’m six weeks tomorrow, so I’m just doing what everyone [else] is doing. And I only need to walk down a runway!”
She further spoke about how her body bounced back from giving birth and said that she has never been healthier. Barbara Palvin revealed that during the pregnancy, she wanted to make sure the baby was healthy, so she switched to organic food. However, she continued the regimen even after giving birth as she was breastfeeding her daughter. She added that she only did some light workouts and said:
“Funny enough, my body bounced back — luckily — really quickly. And I think it’s because I’ve never been healthier. During pregnancy, I really wanted to make sure baby girl was healthy, so I only ate organic foods. And now postpartum, because I’m breastfeeding, I wanted to make sure I was eating well. So that’s how I prepped: I just let my body heal on its own and did some light exercises, but nothing crazy.”

The 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will mark Barbara Palvin’s sixth time walking for the annual lingerie spectacle. The model debuted in 2012 at 19. Talking about the same, she admitted that when she first stepped onto the runway, she was “freaking out” and barely remembers anything. She recalled her first show, adding that she was especially in awe of musical performer Rihanna and her “iconic walk.”
While now she is a pro, the jitters are at ease. While a lot has changed over the years, one constant is that Barbara Palvin’s husband, Dylan Sprouse, will be cheering her on from the front row as usual. In 2024, the actor brought cardboard cutouts of the couple’s pets, and in 2018, he hand-delivered Shake Shack to his sweetheart after the show.
When asked what Dylan Sprouse had in store for this year’s fashion show, Barbara Palvin admitted that she has no idea. Barbara Palvin revealed that her friends would drop off food at their door, while her parents flew in for the first few weeks to help. She stated:
“We got this, because we’re capable of everything. We’re strong. Don’t be scared to ask for help. Because I’m like that; I want to do everything myself. But I wouldn’t be here if my friends and family hadn’t supported me. They would drop off food at the door, [and] my mom and dad flew out for the first few weeks.”
Barbara Palvin became emotional by the end of the interview, and said, “The hormones are crazy!” The model laughed as she concluded, “I know this is a crazy journey.
