Australian model and swimwear designer Sahara, the daughter of surfer Tony Ray, had welcomed her first child earlier this year.
Sahara Ray, the model and swimwear designer who once dated singer Justin Bieber, has died aged 34.
Her family confirmed the sad news in a statement to TMZ saying: “She passed away last night surrounded by family at the hospital. She was so loved.” No cause of death was given.
Aussie Sahara, the daughter of surfer Tony Ray, had welcomed her first child, a daughter, earlier this year. In April, she shared a video of her playing with baby Snow Ray, three months, while Bieber’s 2025 hit Everything Hallelujah played.
The model, who had just shy of 900,000 followers on Instagram, where she shared pictures from her life and of her swimwear line, wrote simply: “Baby snow hallelujah.”

In 2024, Saraha opened up about her health struggles, explaning that she had Guillain-Barré syndrome, where the immune system attacks the nervous system.
She said the condition was brought on when a drunk driver hit her, explaining: “It basically sent my body into shock, which sent my body into this crazy sickness.
““I got really, really sick for like a week and a half to two weeks. During that time, I barely ate any food because I couldn’t keep it down, and my body got really weak.”
The model was photographed on holiday in Hawaii with Justin in 2016 during a brief relationship which catapulted her into the public eye when she was just 23.
The pair stayed at a villa on a luxury trip that was documented on her Snapchat, including a picture of her posing topless beside a waterfall. It came after she was linked to actor Cody Simpson in 2015 following his split from Gigi Hadid.
Sahara is from Australia was brought up in Santa Cruz, California, and studied at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
