HYDERABAD: Cyberabad police refused to accept a complaint written using two different ink colours — blue and black. The complainant, injured in an accident, had drafted his statement using both pens, leading staff at Genome Valley police station to decline it initially.
At Majidpura crossroads, a lorry from Shamirpet collided with a car. The airbags deployed, allowing the occupant to escape with minor injuries. After the victim called the 112 emergency number, Genome Valley patrol police reached the spot within ten minutes.
The complaint submitted by the victim, journalist Sudhakar Goud, was written in two colours. He alleged police refused to accept it and asked him to come to the station in person to file it. The incident occurred on Sunday.
Genome Valley inspector G. Guruvaiah confirmed the complaint was written in two inks but denied rejection. He said the victim had changed pens after the first ran out of ink, and the complaint was accepted. He added that a search is underway for the lorry driver involved in the accident.
