Deepika Padukone introduced her second daughter
On the occasion of Dussehra, Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram handle and introduced her second daughter to the world. In the photo, the entire family was dressed in hues of ivory. Ranveer was dressed in an ivory silk kurta, and his hair was falling over his forehead. The second-time mommy, Deepika, was holding her newborn baby girl in her arms while Dua gave a sweet kiss on the forehead of the little one.
The actress tagged her husband, Ranveer Singh. Deepika was laughing as she saw her firstborn’s love for her baby sister. Along with it, Deepika announced her second daughter’s name as ‘Devi’, and wrote:
“Of Love & Abundance… Devi Padukone Singh.”
For those who don’t know, on September 19, 2026, Deepika Padukone shared a collaborative post with Ranveer Singh. The picture featured an adorable little footprint along with the caption “Welcome Baby Girl! 19/9/2026. Dua, Deepika and Ranveer”. The couple was blessed with a baby girl during the Ganpati festival. Just a day before the birth of their second daughter, Deepika and Ranveer visited Siddhivinayak to seek Ganpati Bappa’s blessings.
In fact, in 2024, Deepika and Ranveer visited the Siddhivinayak temple on September 6, 2024, and two days later, in September 2024, they were blessed with a baby girl, whom they have named Dua.
This year, on the occasion of his daughter’s second birthday, Ranveer took to his Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures from his wife, Deepika’s dreamy maternity photoshoot featuring Dua. In the monochrome photos, Deepika was seen dressed up in a lacy co-ord set as she flaunted her fully-grown baby bump. The mom of two was glowing as she kept her hair open and looked adorably at her daughter.
In the first photo, Ranveer and Deepika hugged their daughter, Dua, who was hiding her face with her hands. In another one, Dua was lovingly looking at her mumma’s bare baby bump as Ranveer touched it. In the next photo, Dua was in Ranveer’s arms, and she looked cute in two ponytails.
Earlier, in an interview with Marie Claire, she remembered details of her baby girl’s arrival and when she held the little bundle of joy for the first time in her arms. Deepika revealed that she had a complicated pregnancy and delivery. Without sharing a lot of details, Deepika stated that she went through a lot in her eighth and ninth months. Talking about her final trimester, she shared that every body part of her was in pain, and it was uncomfortable, despite the fact that she was doing yoga. She said:
“Suddenly you’re discovering body parts because they hurt. But that rib pain was, oh my God.”
