Bigg Boss 20 contestant Qazi Touqeer recently shared an interesting detail about his early career. After winning Fame Gurukul in 2005, he received many offers. Producer Ekta Kapoor directly approached him with a TV show offer. She wanted him to play a rockstar in a series.
Qazi was only twenty years old at the time. He felt unable to connect with the character. He also had a movie contract already signed.
Because of this, Qazi decided to decline the role. He did not say no to her face. Instead, he conveyed his decision through a representative.
The offer was for the show Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai. The lead role eventually went to actor Iqbal Khan.
The next morning, Qazi faced heavy media criticism. News headlines claimed that he ditched Ekta Kapoor. Reports portrayed him as arrogant. Qazi revealed that he lacked social media back then to clarify his stance. He felt unfairly labeled by the press despite making a simple career choice.
