Amaravati: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu warned that strict disciplinary action, including suspension, will be taken against anyone who defies party directives and continues to contest as a rebel against official TDP, Jana Sena, or BJP alliance nominees.

Chandrababu conducted a teleconference with senior party leaders on campaign strategy for the local body polls and the selection of candidates for the MPTC and ZPTC seats. He directed leaders to get rebel candidates to withdraw their nominations in their respective places. He also asked party leaders to coordinate closely with alliance partners. He also stressed smooth ground-level seat adjustments and close cooperation between the TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP to ensure the success of the coalition.
The Chief Minister urged leaders to seek the people’s support in the local body elections as well and instructed leaders to distribute B-forms promptly, focus on booth-level outreach, and effectively communicate government development work to voters. He called on party workers to take welfare and development programmes to the people under the slogan “Chepparu… Chestunnam”.
Stressing the alliance, he told leaders to ensure that seat-sharing at the grassroots level proceeds smoothly with the coalition partners. Chandrababu also assured aspirants who miss out on tickets that they will be given opportunities through nominated posts.

Meanwhile, on a plea filed by the YSRCP, the Supreme Court directed the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission (SEC) not to publish the final list of candidates for upcoming urban local body polls in the state until October 26. The final list was scheduled to be published today.
