Louise Redknapp has been left “heartbroken” following the death of her dog Rudi.
The former Eternal singer,51, who was married to Jamie Redknapp from 1998 until 2017 and has Charley, 21, and 17-year-old Beau with him, took to social media on Wednesday to announce that her canine companion had passed away at the age of 12.
She wrote on Instagram: “Our hearts are broken, our gorgeous boy Rudi went to sleep forever today. Thank you for 12 amazing years of love and memories Rudes, you were the most gentle, loving boy, you’ve grown old watching Chaz and Beau grow up and kept Banks in check from day one and been my shadow since the day we got you as a tiny wrinkly puppy.”
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant concluded her emotional post by explaining that she and her family will miss the pooch so much, but acknowledged that he will be “reunited” with her dog Blu, who passed away in 2022.
“We’re going to miss you doing what ever you feel like doing when you feel like doing it, managing to escape any barricade put in place ‘Roudini’, telling Banksy off, pawing us all for strokes 24/7 and most of all those wrinkles and that little curly tail wagging when we come through the front door
“We will miss you so so much , sleep tight our handsome Rudi rudi rudi go chase those squirrels over the rainbow bridge and be reunited with Blu. Love you forever.”
Louise was instantly supported in her grief by her celebrity pals, with Spice Girl Emma Bunton writing: “I’m so sorry Louise, heartbroken for you. Sending love.”

In 2022, Louise shared a post that was just as emotional when her dog Blu passed away. She wrote: “I am absolutely heartbroken that we had to say goodbye to our little girl Blu early this morning
“I am going to miss you so much my darling girl your escaping through the fence, chasing the squirrels out of the garden, our long walks in the woods watching you run carefree, going upstairs when we say ‘bed time’ and getting on mummy’s bed instead of in your own and most of all your kisses and cuddles every day.
“I wanted to share this with you because I know so many of you follow their insta page and loved seeing what Blu and Rudi were up to and loved them as much as we did.
“We’ll miss you so much, sleep tight our gorgeous Bluebells Love you forever Mummy, Chaz and Beau Beau’s Xxx.”
