Famous Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane is in seventh heaven. The actress rose to fame with the Indian film Sanam Teri Kasam. Recently, she was blessed with her first child. For the unversed, Mawra got married to Ameer Gilani in 2025. After a year of marital bliss, she was blessed with motherhood.
Mawra Hocane got blessed with a baby boy
As per a report by MoneyControl, Mawra embraced motherhood with the arrival of a baby boy. She has named her son Syed Azmar Hussain Kamal and posted the good news on X. She shared a video from the hospital which showed a glimpse of their newborn son and her husband, Ameer. Ameer was seen reciting the Azaan into his son’s ears as part of the Muslim tradition.
In the clip, the couple revealed their son’s name and explained its meaning. She revealed that Azmar means lion, and in her caption she called him the king of the jungle, their pride, and their most precious treasure. As soon as Mawra shared the post, her fans flooded the comment section.
For the unversed, Ameer and Mawra got married on February 25, 2026, in a Nikah ceremony. Before their wedding, the couple had worked together in many Pakistani dramas and were hailed as the most loved couple on TV. The couple had known each other for several years before deciding to get married.
On February 5, 2025, Mawra surprised her fans by sharing romantic photos from her nikah ceremony with Ameer Gilani. She confirmed the buzz in the sweetest way. In the photos, Mawra looked gorgeous in a pastel mint blue-toned lehenga with purple and red tones on the kali. She paired the lehenga with a unique choli design and a dupatta, tucked over her head to further accentuate her bridal look.
Mawra‘s husband, Ameer, looked handsome in an olive green-hued kurta with pathani salwar and a doshala. For accessories, she chose a dainty neckpiece, matching earrings, a passa, and a maang teeka to complete her look.
In the first photo, we can see Mawra and Ameer lost in each other’s embrace, and the bride’s mehendi was the highlight of the same. Sharing more photos of her wedding with Ameer, Mawra penned a sweet note about how, in the middle of chaos, she found her dream man. She expressed gratitude to God. Her caption can be read as:

Mawra Hocane began her career as a VJ at ARY Musik, after which she began her career in TV with the show, Khichari Salsa. She proved her acting prowess with shows like Aahista Aahista, Ik Tamanna Lahasil Si, Nikhar Gaye Gulab Sare, Mein Bushra, Maryam, Sammi, Sabaat, Neem, and a few others.
Mawra’s father, Mawra Hussain, lives in Karachi and is the younger sister of actress Urwa Hocane. Mawra changed her name from Hussain to Hocane when she was in seventh grade to give it a unique spelling. Apart from having a degree in Fashion Design, Mawra also holds a degree in Law from the University of London. At the age of 13, she earned her first paycheck, which was PKR 8000.
