HCLTech, a leading global technology company, today announced the expansion of its flagship Climate Action Grant program to 24 countries worldwide to support a wider pool of non-profit organizations (NPOs) combating climate change and restoring ecosystems and biodiversity.
In 2023, the company launched the HCLTech Grant for Climate Action in the Americas to support locally relevant solutions that address pressing climate and environmental issues. HCLTech initially committed $5 million over five years to eligible NPOs in 10 countries in the Americas and has disbursed $3 million over the past three editions.
Encouraged by the success of the program in the Americas, HCLTech is expanding the program to 24 countries globally. These countries include Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Guatemala, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Poland, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam.
The winners will be announced on June 5, 2027, following a rigorous screening process. One winner will receive $500,000, while three runners-up will each receive $250,000.
“Great ideas can come from any community, and solutions developed in one place can create possibilities in another. The HCLTech Global Grant for Climate Action has evolved through our experience in India and the Americas, and taking the Grant global is the next step in that journey. By creating a broader platform for climate innovation, we want to support locally rooted ideas and help solutions with potential for wider impact reach further,” said Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, Global Head of CSR at HCLTech.
HCLTech has a sharp focus on sustainability and is committed to achieving net-zero by 2040. The company has been named to TIME World’s Most Sustainable Companies list for the second consecutive year. It also achieved EcoVadis Gold rating and MSCI AA (Leader) ESG rating for the second consecutive year in FY26.
