Defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. was kicked off the Alabama football team after he was arrested and charged last week for allegedly doxing and harassing the University of Alabama police officer who had pulled him over previously.
Kirkpatrick was arrested on Friday and released from the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $600 bond, and on Tuesday Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer announced he was dismissed from the program in a statement.
“After gathering more information on the situation, Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. will no longer be a part of our program,” DeBoer said in a statement. “He did not live up to the standards and expectations that I have set for this team and our players.”

Kirkpatrick is facing misdemeanor charges of harassing communications and doxing after UAPD officer Christopher Fuerch reported last week that he received a message from the now-former Alabama football player on Facebook Messenger, according to court records released on Tuesday and reported on by AL.com.
“Ayy bitch ass n****? Text me back don’t be no bitch!” the message is alleged to have said.
Fuerch had been involved in a November 2025 attempted traffic stop that allegedly led to Kirkpatrick fleeing from police, which raised concerns for the officer about the Oct. 20 messages.
Fuerch then alleged that when he went to block Kirkpatrick’s Facebook page, he saw the player posted a picture of the cop and his wife and children with the caption, “Dis him?” according to AL.com.
According to court records, the UAPD cop said that the post caused “severe concern for the overall safety and well-being of himself and his family given the substantial audience and public following Kirkpatrick maintains as a football player for the University of Alabama.”

Kirkpatrick had been arrested last November when he was charged with reckless endangerment, speeding and eluding police.
The officers, who were on foot, allegedly tried to stop the vehicle Kirkpatrick was driving by directing him to pull into a ride-share lane in front of the police precinct, but after Kirkpatrick started to drive toward the ride-share lane, cops say he then pulled back toward the driving lane.
He was suspended seven games during the 2025 season as a result of the incident.
Kirkpatrick was arrested on separate charges of leaving the scene of an accident in June of this year and has to appear in court in November for the case.
Kirkpatrick is the son of former Alabama and NFL defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick.
