Crystal Harris, the third and last wife of Hugh Hefner, has come up with fresh allegations against the late Playboy founder, revealing disturbing details about their intimate relationship and the experiences she says left her feeling uncomfortable and powerless.
In a recent podcast interview, the 40-year-old accused the late media mogul of sexual abuse, prompting renewed scrutiny into what went on behind closed doors in the infamous Playboy mansion.

During an appearance on the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast on Tuesday, Crystal was asked whether she believed she had been raped during her relationship with Hugh, who died in September 2017 at the age of 91. The model, now 40, recalled being compelled to do anything Hefner wanted her to do. She recalled:
“I do believe that I did whatever he wanted me to do. And if that involved sex, then I just did what he wanted me to do.”
Crystal, who married Hugh in 2012, said there were times when sexual encounters left her deeply uncomfortable. She alleged that certain acts crossed her boundaries with the billionaire. Recalling disturbing details about their intimate life, Crystal shared:
“There were times that were really uncomfortable for me in the bedroom. In the bedroom, things would happen that ended up just not being OK.”
The allegations have once again brought attention to the former couple’s relationship, which Crystal has increasingly spoken about since Hugh’s death. In her recent appearance, she described particularly distressing incidents about Hefner’s fantasies that often involved multiple women and “disgusting” sexual encounters. During an August 2026 appearance on the No One Asked Her podcast with Firerose, Crystal spoke about what she described as emotional, financial, physical, and sexual abuse during her marriage. She also said she believed she had been “absolutely brainwashed” while living with Hugh.
Crystal explained that even when she disagreed with many of his expectations and fantasies, she still found herself placing him on a pedestal. She said:
“I think I was absolutely brainwashed, but there was nothing out there that validated me. So, I just thought I was the crazy one because all of the media put Hef on such a pedestal that I’m like, ‘OK, if they all see him as this larger-than-life amazing human, there must be something wrong with me.'”
The model also recalled the unusual environment inside the Playboy Mansion, where around 70 staff members were reportedly on hand. She described Hugh’s nightly movie screenings as a routine that effectively imposed a curfew on those living there.
Their relationship was often discussed because of their roughly 60-year age difference and the circumstances surrounding Hugh’s final marriage. Crystal initially called off their planned wedding in 2011, explaining that she was unsure whether his lifestyle was right for her.
“This isn’t the lifestyle for me,” she said at the time, referring to the other women in Hugh’s life and the unconventional atmosphere of the mansion. However, the pair eventually reconciled and married the following year.
Today, Crystal’s reflections on the relationship reveal a more troubling side of her experience. While she has acknowledged that Hugh helped open certain doors for her and that their marriage was not easily defined, she says she now better understands how isolated and controlled she felt during those years.
